The ArtsLink International Fellowship Program gives preference to applicants whose social practices aim to actively involve communities in topics such as climate change and human rights.
Artlinks will support artists and arts leaders whose work contributes to people’s increased awareness, comprehension, and active participation in environmental and/or social justice concerns.
Eligibility
Contemporary artists, curators, and arts leaders whose work is informed by community engagement procedures or social practice are encouraged to apply to CEC ArtsLink.
Applicants must be citizens of one of the countries in our network. If you are temporarily residing outside of the region, please contact CEC ArtsLink to discuss your eligibility. There are no restrictions on age.
Applicants must be able to function independently in the United States and have a good command of the English language.
Non-professionals, undergraduate students, and research scholars are not eligible. Arts leaders/curators must be linked with a non-profit arts organization or work as individual independent arts practitioners. Artists looking for work in a commercial firm are not eligible.

Year 3: ArtsLink International Fellows present a project in their native country with US involvement for consideration as a co-producing partner by CEC ArtsLink in the third year.
Benefits
The ArtsLink International Fellowships awards provide an initial honorarium to Fellows and US hosts to cover the research residence, as well as funding for the following project in the US, including visa and travel, food and accommodation, health insurance, and up to 50% of production costs.
Application
An impartial panel of artists, presenters, and arts administrators from the United States and our network nations, including persons who have worked in the eligible regions, reviews applications.
Every year, the panel’s makeup varies.
After the application deadline, the selection panel meets 8-10 weeks later. One month before the meeting, written materials are distributed to the panelists.
During the two-day meeting, all work samples are examined. The review criteria in the guidelines are used to evaluate applications.
