Telegram being the fasted rising Social media messenger app, allows it’s users to create and also participate in poll voting either in the group chat or channel.

Poll voting is a process whereby questions are being asked either in the telegram group chat or channel, and the participants will have give reply to the question, by voting on the answer options given,

Example:

Question: what is your favourite colour?

Answer options:

1. Red

2. Blue

3. Black

4. White

It’s left for the users or participators in the group or channel to choose by voting their favourite colour, through the answer options given.

In this very Article, I’m going to disclose how you can create a voting poll in your telegram group chat or channel.

Here we go

Step 1.

Tap on your telegram app to open it up.

Step 2.

Tap on the icon on the top right corner of your screen (as indicated in the picture )

Step 3.

Type Pollbot.

A list of results will be revealed to you.

Step 4.

Tap on Pollbot.

Note: multiple results on Pollbot will be revealed to you, only tap on Pollbot with a light blue icon with a bar graph inside.

When you must have tapped on it, it opens a chat conversation with the Pollbot.

Step 5.

Tap Start

(as indicated in the picture ) to open conversation

Step 6.

Type the poll question of your choice and click the send button to send.

The send button is a blue icon that looks like a kite or airplane at the bottom – right corner of the screen.

Step 7.

Type in the first possible answer option to the question asked and click the send button.

For example: What is your favourite colour?
Your possible answer could be “Red”

Step 8.

Type in the next possible answer choice to the question asked and click the send button.

Step 9.

Type in the next possible answer to the question asked and click send button to send.

If you want to provide Only three possible answers to the question asked, you can stop here. But if you still want to continue entering possible answers or response to the question asked you can go ahead until you are done entering all the answers you want.

Step 10.

When you’re done typing in the possible answers or response to the question asked.

Type  /done

 To publish the poll. (As indicated in the picture )

Step 11.

When you must have typed in /done

A URL link will be revealed to you.

Click on the URL.

Step 12.

A list of Groups, channels and conversations will be revealed to you.

Tap the group or channel  you want to share or add the poll.

A confirmation message will appear, tap or Click on the “OK” to share the poll to your group or channel.

Group members can respond to the poll by tapping or clicking the answer of their choice.

Step 14.

To see the results of the voting poll

Type /results   and click the send button.

Step 15.

To end the voting poll

Type /end poll   and click the send button.
