Foluke Daramola-Salako is a well-received actress in the Yoruba movie industry in Nigeria.  Her name tells she is from Yoruba descent precisely from Ekiti State, the South-western part of Nigeria.

She was born and bred at her hometown when the time was right she proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun state, where she bagged a degree in International Relations.

She didn’t start her movie career until 1998 when she first made her debut movie appearance in movie series titled Palace in that year. She has since appeared in hundreds of movies such as Above Love in 2004, Durodola 2 in 2005 and Official Romance in 2004. She was nominated in the  Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2013 for a best-supporting actress with her movie titled Cobweb.

She remarked that she got the inspiration with which she made the project from her personal experience relating to how her parents dislike her going into acting and filming altogether after her University Education.

She also disclosed in an interview a horrible experience she had as a victim of rape, this made her establish called Passion Against Rape and Abuse in Africa (PARA)- a Non-Governmental organization to combat rape and abuse several other waves of abuse against women.

While she was in an interview session with Punch newspaper in 2018, Daramola disclosed that she sees her big boobs as an asset, not a curse:

“The first attraction for most men who come across me is usually sexual. They see my big boobs and are moved immediately. But as a person, I would never go out with any man because they are attracted to my boobs because I know that it is too ordinary. As far as I’m concerned, women should stop seeing these ‘assets’ as a problem but take them as a blessing. It is only by so doing that they’ll know how to carry themselves better. They should carry themselves well and not be ashamed.”

She has had two marriages, her ex-husband is Tunde Sobowale, they were married for three years, from 2005 to 2008. They went separate ways on grounds of domestic violence. They have both welcome 2 children together. Foluke’s daughter’s name is Ibukunoluwa Ayomikun Owolabi

In 2013, She re-married to Kayode Salako who she eulogizes has been her soulmate. Kayode reportedly said that lot’s of men are looking to date his wife Foluke promising her many things him the husband cannot afford.
