Nigeria records 39.1% reduction in death Caused by Terrorism. GTI Report

According to the report published by the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) in 2020, Nigeria has experienced a reduction in death caused by Terrorism.

The reduction in death caused by terrorism is about 39.1% in 2020.

This publication is usually done annually by the GlobalTerrorism Index by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) which its headquarters is in the United State of America.

The GTI under the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) also mentioned that the was also a reduction n death caused by terrorism in 2019 by 27%.

The record of terrorism in the country over 2 years now is the lowest recorded terrorism death rate that has been recorded since 2011.

Notwithstanding the overall reduction in terrorism in Nigeria between last year and this year, Nigeria is still regarded as the third country in the world with a high rate of Terrorism impact and death.

Nigeria has been rank third in this position for a very long time now approximately five years which is from 2015 till date.

According to the report published by the GTI annually, Afghanistan is the first on the list of the countries with the high impact of Terrorism, and Iraq is the second country affected by terrorism.
