Android 12 Beta: Here are the 21 Eligible Devices as Samsung and Huawei Miss Out

For the launch of Android 12 in beta, Google has partnered with several manufacturers to offer the update ahead of time.

At the opening of its annual Google I/O conference, the Android publisher unveiled the main novelties of the future version of its in-house operating system, Android 12. Google also gave the list of partner manufacturers who would give access to the beta of Android 12.

As expected, we find Google Pixel smartphones in bulk on this list, but also several smartphones that did not benefit from the different Developer Preview. Among the partner manufacturers, Google has cited Asus, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Tecno, TCL, Vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE.

The Mountain View firm, however, was cautious in releasing the names of models compatible with beta 1 of Android 12, leaving the first announcement to the various manufacturers.

How to Install Android 12 Beta 1

To install Android 12 beta 1 on the various compatible smartphones, just follow the link given next to the model name. Manufacturers usually offer the system ROM to download in order to flash the system. For now, no manufacturer offers a beta program with automatic downloading of Android 12 over the air.

Not all features presented by Google for Android 12 will be available for qualifying smartphones. Thus, the customization of the colors of the system according to the tones of the wallpaper will be reserved for Google Pixel smartphones only.

The roll-out excludes notable brands: Samsung, who are the best selling smartphone brand in the world and Huawei, who subsequently rank third on that list.
