Niniola Apata professionally known as Niniola, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and one of the most influential female music artists in Nigeria. Niniola is currently not just a singer, but also an entrepreneur emerging as the CEO of the Nigerian record label, DrumRoll Records. Niniola Biography

Niniola was born into the family of Apata on the 15th day of December 1986, in Lagos State, Nigeria. Emerging as the first daughter of the family, Niniola has two younger siblings, one of which is Teniola Apata, also a Nigerian music artiste and popularly known as Teni, and the other being Tejumola Apata.

Niniola spent her childhood in Lagos where she had grown up and completed both her primary and secondary education. Niniola went to the same secondary school as her younger sister Teni, Apata Memorial High School. The school was said to have been built by their family in memory of their fore-father, Apata.

After completing her secondary education, Niniola attended the University of Lagos where she had bagged a bachelor of education.

Niniola Career

Niniola was said to have started singing since a very young age, while she was in the secondary school and she usually sing during her leisure hours for her classmates and other members of the school. Her nickname then was said to be “The Human Radio” and she was said to have been named this, as a result of her beautiful voice and pattern of music.

Niniola started singing not as a music career, but in order to be praised by not just by her friends and relatives but even by strangers. She joined her school’s cultural group and performed awesomely during social activities in the school.

Niniola participated in the 6th edition of the MTN Project Fame, a music talent hunt competition hosted by the well-known telecom company, MTN, and she came 4th at the end of the competition. Ideally, she really had an awesome performance that was loved by everyone including the judges.

Niniola released her first debut studio track in 2014 which was titled Ibadi and was produced by the awards winning music producer, Sarz. The song brought in some attention to Niniola in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Niniola released one of her singles in 2017 which was titled Maradona and was produced by Sarz. The song went so viral both within and outside Nigeria and it was the one that brought Teniola into the limelight in the entertainment industry. The song was backed up by a remix made with the renowned French DJ, DJ Snake, and was titled “Maradona Riddim”.

Niniola released her first debut studio album in on the 1st day of December 2017 and was titled “This is Me”. The album consisted of 13 tracks from the artiste with the guest performance of artists like Terry Apala and Patoranking. The main director of the album Sarz, with the help of other artistes in the Nigerian music industry.

Niniola had her first-ever concert show on the 9th day of November 2018, at the Landmark Event Centre, Victora Island (VI), Lagos, and the concert was named “The Human Radio”.

It was a huge success for Niniola and ever since then, she has been doing well not just in the Nigerian music industry but the entertainment industry as a whole.

Niniola is not yet married but during an interview with Saturday beats, she revealed being in a relationship with someone who she didn’t made mention of and revealed that she doesn’t give space for other men to ask her out as she has always kept herself busy with her job and career.
