Victoria University of Wellington is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students for their New Zealand Scholarship for PhD students. It is a fully-funded scholarship for all students.

About

Victoria University of Wellington is one of New Zealand’s oldest universities, having been founded in 1897. In 2015, it achieved five stars from QS Stars University Rating in each of the eight categories: arts and culture, discipline ranking and accreditations, employability, facilities, inclusion, internationalization, research, and teaching. The PhD scholarship has a three-year duration.

Aim

Victoria University of Wellington grants scholarships to people intending to begin PhD studies in order to support postgraduate study. These scholarships are offered based on academic achievement and are available to New Zealand and international students of any subject.

Each round, there are a limited amount of scholarships available, and you may be given admission to one. As a result, it’s critical that you look into different funding possibilities.

Scholarships are usually granted for three years. The maximum length of tenure of a Scholarship will be reduced at the discretion of the Victoria University Research Scholarships Committee for a student who has already been enrolled for a Doctorate at Victoria University of Wellington for over three months when the offer of a Scholarship is made.

$23,500 per annum Stipend

Eligibility for New Zealand Scholarship 

These Fully Funded Scholarships in New Zealand are offered to graduates of any university in New Zealand or abroad who want to register full-time for a Doctorate (PhD) at Victoria University of Wellington or who have already started their doctorate studies there.
