Nengi was born on May 13, 1997, in the Nembe local government area of Bayelsa State, Nigeria. She was born into a family of two emerging as the first child of the family.

After the death of Nengi’s father, she moved all the way to Port Harcourt to live with her aunt and further her education.

Nengi while in Port Harcourt started having a growing passion to participate in modeling and pageantry but wasn’t approved to participate, by her aunt.

This was said to have been due to her her absurd religious belief.

Nengi during her 2nd-year examination in secondary school went back to her hometown after receiving a message about her sick mother.

Upon getting home, she discovered that her mother has been sleeping on the bench for over 6 months and has been suffering a lot.

This was what made Nengi make the decision of staying with her mom, forsaking her education in Port Harcourt.

In search of a way to take care of her sick mom, Nengi partook in the 2013 Queen of Trust pageant, which she won.

The money she got from the pageant was what she used to take care of her mom and also furthered her education.

In 2015, Nengi got an admission into the University of Port Harcourt using the pre-degree program, after a failed attempt to pass the JAMB examination.

She graduated from the University of Port Harcourt in 2019, no so long after her mother’s death.

Nengi’s modeling career can be traced back to her days after dropping out of secondary school.

She participated in her first pageant, Miss Peace Bayelsa, which she won.

In 2014, just after moving back to Port Harcourt for a pre-degree program, Nengi debuted her second pageantry competition, the Queen of Trust.

She said the pageant competition wasn’t an easy one as the organizers required the participants to sell a certain number of tickets before they could participate. And she who was a newbie in the state, really found it difficult to sell.

Upon all, Nengi managed to sell all her tickets and as well won the Queen Of Trust pageant.

Nengi also participated in the Prestigious Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant which she managed to emerge to the top 5 finalists.

Nengi’s entrepreneurship career began just after she graduated from the University. She picked up a career in the fashion entrepreneurship, shoe selling to be precise.

According to Nengi, things weren’t really going well in terms of sales even though her brand had great products.

Things weren’t going as expected. Although my brand really had great products and our marketing was quite good, we really had a big issue in terms of sales.

Nengi has said to have joined the Big Brother Naija 2020 show so as to get enough recognition for her brand, therefore, improving her brand’s sales.

She’s currently participating in the show and has also emerged as the winner of the first Head Of House (HOH).
