About Green Energy International Limited Scholarship 

Green Energy International Limited (GEIL) is an indigenous oil and gas firm that operates the Otakikpo Marginal Field with the help of a technical partner.

Lekoil Oil & Gas Investment Ltd is granting undergraduate and postgraduate University Scholarship Awards to appropriately qualified students from specified regions.

The scholarship is intended to help the host communities strengthen their human capital while also providing high-quality education.

The scholarship program demonstrates the Joint Venture’s dedication to maintaining a positive connection with the host communities.

The Joint Venture is raising the next generation of leaders for the communities and the country through this program.

Eligibility for Scholarships

To be considered, an applicant must meet the following requirements:

1. Be enrolled full-time in a recognized Nigerian university or polytechnic as an undergraduate or postgraduate student.

2. At the time of application, you must be enrolled in a university or polytechnic.

3. A postgraduate student must have completed or had an exemption letter from the one-year National Youth Service Corp (NYSO) program.

4. Have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.80 on a 5-point scale or equivalent. Applicants must present a signed and stamped statement of result and/or transcript from their institution’s Registrar or equivalent authorities.

5. The recipients must be Nigerian University Commission-accredited in any discipline (NUC).

6. Provide proof of identification for the Andoni Local Government Area.

7. Be from Ikuru Town, Ugama Ekede, Ayama Ekede, Asuk Oyet Asuk Ama, and other areas in Rivers State’s Andoni Local Government Area.

8. A letter of recommendation from one of the following: Traditional Chief, member of the BOT, and Youth President.

NOTE: Students in the following groups are not required to apply:

1. Recipients of similar awards from the oil and gas industry in the past.

2. Students having a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of less than 2.80 on a 5-point scale or comparable.

3. Students who are not Andoni Local Government Area locals

How to Apply for a Scholarship Through the Internet

Before you begin, make sure you have scanned original copies of the following documents in PDF or JPEG format for uploading:

1. A recent passport photograph with a white backdrop is required (450px by 450px and weighing not more than 200kb)

2. A current and valid student identification card.

3. An acceptance letter.

4. A copy of your birth certificate

5. The result of your O’ Levels and A’ Levels.

 

6. The outcome of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

7. The Registrar or competent authority of the institution must sign the statement of result / transcript.

8. Statement of Result or First Degree Certificate (For Post Graduate Applicants Only)

Certificate of identification for the Andoni Local Government Area.

10. Letter of support from a recognized traditional chief, a member of the BOT, or the Youth President.

To avoid document mixing up during upload, make sure the papers are labeled according to what they represent.
When you’re prompted to upload documents, make sure you have the right ones.

NOTE:

1. Applicants are not required to pay GEIL JV. The application form is completely free.

2. GEIL JV does not appoint ‘Representatives’ or ‘Agents’ to help applicants with application processing.

3. If you submit several applications, you will be automatically disqualified.

4. Only those candidates who have been short-listed will be contacted.

5. All candidates are recommended to double-check that their GSM phone numbers and personal e-mail addresses are correctly typed into the website’s e-forms.

DEADLINE: There is no set date for the deadline, however it is normally on November 15th.
