Lil Kesh was born on the 14th March, 1995, in Bariga, which happens to be a suburb of the widely known Lagos State, South-western part of Nigeria.

He grew up in his hometown where he had completed his primary and secondary education. After completing his secondary education, Lil Kesh happened to have attended the University of Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria, before dropping out in chase of his always-dreamed music career.

Lil Kesh began his music career at the age of 17 after completing his secondary school education. He started by making raps and singing within his mates back then in Bariga.

Lil Kesh came into the spotlights after the release of his award-winning song, Shoki. The song came along with a dance routine which made it go so viral and was widely accepted by a lot of Nigerians and also, some foreigners were spotted having good times with the music.

Olamide Baddo and the Nigerian rockstar, Davido, made a remix of the song which also came in as a jam.
