Yemi Alade was born on the 13th day of March 1989 in Abia State, Nigeria.

she happens to be the fifth child of her parents and accompanied by two other younger siblings.

Yemi Alade spent her childhood in Lagos where she had her primary and secondary education at the St. Savior British Primary School and the Victory Grammar School respectively.

And later went to the University of Lagos, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Geography.

Yemi Alade came into the spotlight in the Nigerians music industry after her participation in the Peak Talent Show in 2009 which she won.

Not so long after, she created her own record label which she named Effyzie Music Group.

Yemi Alade released her first debut studio album on October 2, 2014, which was named King of Queens.

The album consisted of 18 songs with collaboration with guest artistes like Bovi, Chidinma, Diamond Platnumz, and many other celebrities in the Nigerian music industry.

The album was supported and promoted by Tours in several countries like Ghana, South Africa, and many others.
